About Imrana Alhaji Buba

IMRANA ALHAJI BUBA hails from Yobe state, North-Eastern Nigeria. He is the Founder/Coordinator of the Youth Coalition Against Terrorism (YOCAT) and Chairman of Translation and Diversity Committee of the International Youth Action Against Terrorism (IYAAT). His work is centered on weakening the appeal of violent extremism through counter-radicalization enlightenment and empowerment programs. His vision is to promote a culture of peace and tolerance around the world. Owing to his peace building work, Imrana was selected for the Generation Change fellowship of the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) and won the 2016 Queen’s Young Leaders Award and LEAP Africa SIP Fellowship. He holds Bsc Political Science (First Class) from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria.
