About Henry Akwuebu

Henry Akwuebu is a Management Consultant and an Organizational Development Professional. In addition to his consulting practice, he runs the African Resources Development Initiative (AFREDI) a self-funded social initiative through which he offers development programs to members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). He started his professional career in a project management consulting environment and was involved at different times in the management of projects in the Power and ICT sectors.

He has consulted for leading organizations in Nigeria on a wide variety of HR, business and organizational development concerns. These organizations cut across public and private sectors of the Nigerian business environment including; NEPC, PHCN, RSSDA, Placeware and MOMAN (i.e. Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria which is made up of Forte oil, Chevron Nigeria, Conoil, Mobil, Oando and Total Nigeria) to mention a few.

In addition he has undertaken state and national assignments on behalf of multilateral institutions like the World Bank and DFID. Henry is currently enrolled in a Master of Research and Public Policy Program at the University of Lagos in southwest Nigeria. Henry is an alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and a member of the Project Management Institute. In addition, he has the Project Management Professional (PMP), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHRi) and Professional in Human Resource (PHRi) certifications.
